I have been taking photographs since 2005. I look for images that tell the story of a place: geometry, contrast, urban landscapes and street photography.
I worked with Canon cameras for a long time and was among the first to experiment with HDR. Today I shoot mostly on a smartphone and edit on the phone. My photos on Flickr have passed 10 million views, and those on Unsplash 2 million.
Some of my images have been used in advertising, art and documentary projects, in educational material, and by media and institutions including UNESCO, the Carabinieri, the British Council, Politico, The Independent, the European Commission, the London School of Economics and Forbes.
